The Final film

This is our final edited film. We had to change some things from our first draft, for example making the banging productions title longer, and holding some of the other titles so you could read them properly. I think it is successful in many ways, with the shots and the way we introduced each character, but i was also change it for example making the story more accessible to shoot, instead of making everything more complicated. This film has our tags on it also, if you click the red speach bubble button you can hide them.

Audience Review

I asked a few people who had watched my film what their thoughts were on it.

Our film target audience was aimed for both boys and girls interest, perhaps more for boys as there is scenes of violence and slutty girls, from the ages of 16-28 years olds. I think the film was successful in meeting the target audience. The type of person who would watch this genre comedy/drama, would listen to quite mainstream music, for exmaple Nicki Manaj, Flo Rider, Jessie J, Olly Murrs, Rihanna.

The type of TV programmes they would watch, would be comical shows such as The Inbetweeners, Fresh Meat, Friends, Desperate House Wives, Cougar Town, 90210, Modern Family, Misfits and Skins. Including the tv channels MTV, E4. The target audience would also watch similiar films to our genre such as, Mean Girls, St.Trinians, Couples Retreat, how to loose a guy in 10 days, Hot Fuzz, Bad Teacher and Men in Black.

The film St.Trinians is in the same genre as my film- a drama/comedy. They both relate to each other through mis-en-scene. Our character who plays the "slutty daughter", has a very similar costume to the St.Trinians girls in the movie, particularly their head girl, Kelly Jones.
Both costumes represent a rebellious and slutty school girl stereotype, with the fish net tights, high waisted skirt, shirt and heels.
The films have used the same high key/normal lighting to show the comical side to things, and the set design is also similar as they are set in schools.

Another film that compares to our character, is mean girls, who both resemble that slutty school girl stereotype.

Evaluation 1

This is my 9 shot grid, showing the title of the film, the setting, costumes, camera work and editing, font and style, story/narrative, genre and suggestions of it, characters, special FX.
1) This is the title of our film 'Family Plan'
2)This is one of our settings, with an establishing shot of him walking to the postbox
3)This is showing one of the costumes, of the slutty daughter wearing fishnet tights and a high waister skirt and heels.
4)There is alot of good camera work and different shots shown at this point of the film, for example over the shoulder shots, long shots, which has been edited well, and put in black and white
5)This is one example of the style that we used to show the names, here we wrote the name on the glass.
6)This shows a part of the story/narrative of the daughter with her boyfriend.
7)Our genre is comedy/drama, and this is an example of the genre as the twins have comically stuck something on this girls back.
8)Ed Walker as the postman/dad is one of the characters in the film.
9)This is an example of the special effects we edited on afterwards, which makes the section of the film stand out and more interesting.
